Services and Pricing

The full price list, exactly as it is on the board in the salon. Cuts, color, perms and relaxers, conditioning, braids, updos and waxing.

Cuts and styling

Haircuts, blowouts, braids and updos

A shape that works with the hair you have and that you can repeat yourself at home, not just in the chair.

  • Braids, and French braids

Braids are $30, and French braids are the thing our regulars ask for by name more than anything else on this list.

  • Updos, in the salon or at yours

An updo is $85 in the salon, or $100 if we travel to you on the morning. For a bridal party that usually saves more time than it costs. Bridal bookings take a 50 percent deposit to hold the date.

  • Kids are welcome

Under 10 is $20. We have the patience for a first haircut and for the ones who are not sure about any of this.

  • We ask what your mornings look like

The right cut depends as much on the time you will give it as on your face shape. A style that needs forty minutes is the wrong style if you have ten.

Color

Color, foils and balayage

Color is the biggest part of the book here. Retouches, full color, foils, balayage, toners and fashion shades, priced so you know what you are paying before you sit down.

  • Balayage or foils

Foils give a brighter, more uniform lift and a defined regrowth line. Balayage is hand-painted, softer at the root, and grows out without an obvious line, which usually means fewer maintenance appointments.

  • The additional batch charge

One batch of color covers most heads. Longer, thicker or denser hair needs more, and each extra batch is $10. You hear it before anyone mixes anything.

  • Toners are the cheap trick

A $25 toner every four to six weeks is what keeps blonde from going brassy, and it costs a fraction of a full color. It is $40 with a blow dry.

  • Express color, $85

New on the menu, and the one to ask about if time is the problem. Ten minutes of processing with full grey coverage, so it fits in a lunch break rather than an afternoon.

  • Fashion color, $40

An add-on toner, for pushing the shade somewhere the base color will not go on its own.

Perms and relaxers

Perms, spiral perms and relaxers

Texture services in both directions. A perm to put movement in, a relaxer to take it out.

  • Perm or spiral perm

A regular perm at $85 gives body and soft movement. A spiral at $100 uses longer rods for a tighter, more defined curl down the length, and works best on longer hair.

  • Relaxers

$75. Takes curl and bulk out and cuts your styling time down. Timing is everything on a relaxer, which is why it is done in the chair and not at home.

  • Color history matters here

More than anywhere else on the menu. Tell us what color is already on your hair when you call and we will give you a straight answer about what it can take.

Treatments

Conditioning treatments

Worth adding to an appointment you are already in for, especially on hair that has been permed, relaxed or colored.

  • Add it to anything

A conditioning treatment is $10 added to any service, which is the easiest money on this list to justify.

  • Or make it the appointment

$30 with a blow dry and style if you want to leave looking finished.

Waxing

Eyebrow and facial waxing

Quick facial waxing, priced so it is easy to add to an appointment you are already booked for. Brows, lip and chin, on their own or together.

  • Bundle and save

Brow and lip together is $20 rather than $25 separately, and brow, lip and chin is $24, which is the best value on the waxing menu.

  • Add it to a hair appointment

Most people have their brows done while they are already in for a cut or color. Mention it when you call so we add the few minutes to the booking.

  • Leave the growth

Do not tweeze for a couple of weeks before you come in. There has to be something to work with, otherwise we are shaping around gaps.

Longer, thicker or denser hair can need more than one batch of color, and each additional batch is $10. We tell you before we mix it, never after. Not sure which service you need? Describe what you want when you call and we will tell you what it involves and what it costs, before you book.

Before you call

How much does hair color cost?

One batch of color covers most heads. Longer, thicker or very dense hair needs more, and each extra batch is $10. We tell you before we mix it, so the price never moves after the fact.

Do you do braids?

Yes, $30, including French braids. It is one of the things our regulars ask for by name most often.

How much is an updo for a wedding or prom?

An updo is $85 in the salon, or $100 if we travel to you on the day. For a bridal party the travel option usually saves more time than it costs. Book as early as you can, because wedding and prom dates fill months ahead.

Can I add waxing to a hair appointment?

Yes, and most people do. Mention it when you call so we add the time to the booking rather than trying to squeeze it in on the day.

How far ahead should I book?

About a week for a cut, longer for color. Thursday through Saturday fills first. For weddings and proms, as soon as you have a date.
